Sarracenia x Juthatip Soper

Sarracenia 'Juthatip Soper' is an stunning cultivar that produces lots of beautiful, colourful  pitchers in shades of mottled whites, reds and pinks. The traps are upright and of medium height. The pitchers are green at the base, with broad red and purple veins, and pink areoles (windows) dominate the tubes, giving the full trap an exciting, brightly colorful appearance. The hoods are broad and ruffled and the peristome \ is thick and deep red. In autumn, the traps turn a deep maroon. In Spring, the plant gets a deep red flower before new traps have fully emerged.

 Size Adult pitchers can reach around 40cm tall.

Light Sun-loving plant. Requires a minimum of 5 hours full sunlight a day in the growing season.

Water  Stand in a saucer containing 3-4 centimeters of water. Let plant drink from the bottom. Keep soil moist but not waterlogged. Use mineral free water such as rain, reverse osmosis or distilled water for optimum plant health.

Dormancy  Plant goes dormant in winter. Reduce water to twice a week and place plant in a cooler spot.
