Native to North America, the Dionaea Muscipula, commonly known as the Venus Flytrap, is the most well known of all carnivorous plants. It is a perennial plant that uses an active snap-trap to capture the insects it needs for its nutrition. The Red Guerrilla has a deep, striking red colour and can grow indoors or outdoors in a sunny position.
Key Features:
Size: This low-lying plant reaches a maximum size of 15 cm in diameter, making it a unique and compact addition to your plant collection.
Light Requirements: The Venus flytrap thrives in sunny conditions, requiring a minimum of 5 hours of direct sunlight each day. Place it in a spot where it can bask in the sun's warmth to promote healthy growth.
Watering: To replicate its natural habitat, position the plant in a saucer containing 1-2 centimeters of water, allowing it to drink from the bottom. Keep the soil consistently moist to support its development. For optimal Venus Flytrap care, use rainwater, reverse osmosis, or distilled water.
Dormancy: Like many carnivorous plants, the Venus flytrap goes dormant in winter. During this period, reduce watering to twice a week and place the plant in a cooler location to facilitate its seasonal rest.
Special Instructions: Ensure your Venus flytrap thrives by referring to the provided care card and exploring additional care tips online. Avoid using chemicals, pesticides, or fertilizers. Remember to remove any budding flowers before they bloom to redirect the plant's energy into growth.
Variations May Occur: Please note that, like many natural products, variations may occur, adding to the uniqueness of your Venus flytrap.
