Drosera binata, is commonly known as the Forked Sundew. It is a large, perennial sundew that originates from Australia and New Zealand. The plant has bulbous tentacles that produce a glistening, sticky fluid (mucilage). This glue contains a weak acid and enzymes that can digest the soft tissue of their prey. When an insect is caught, adjacent tentacles are able to move towards it and further envelop and digest the prey.
