The Dionaea Muscipula, commonly known as the Venus Flytrap, is native to North America. It is the most well known of all carnivorous plants and uses an active snap-trap to capture insects. It is a is a perennial plant and goes dormant in winter. Werewolf has a vivid green colour with deep red inside the traps. It has a jagged edge with short lashes.
Light Sun-loving plant. Requires a minimum of 5 hours sunlight a day.
Water Stand in a saucer containing 3-4 centimeters of water. Let plant drink from the bottom. Keep soil moist but not waterlogged. Use mineral free water such as rain, reverse osmosis or distilled water for optimum plant health.
Dormancy Plant goes dormant in winter. Reduce water to twice a week and place plant in a cooler spot.
